Loving, caring, sharing, irreplaceable. I never expected to have friends like these beautiful people. They radiate so much positivity and motivation that it's almost impossible to not love them. As I came home from school this semester I realized a lot, what a friend is, what a friend isn't and it allowed me to reevaluate the ones I call "friends". Although I hadn't spoken to a couple of friends in years, that bond that I had with them never left. When I got back I had breakfast at Patachou (which was amazing) and cake with Jennifer, my lovely friend who goes to Purdue University to pursue her dreams of being a pediatric nurse. She is so special in so many ways and is probably the only one who loves politics just as much as I do. When reunited after a year of not speaking (YES! a year, I tell you), it was like the connect was never lost. We talked and talked for hours and it was a breath of fresh air that was highly needed. We talked politics, majors, aspirations, men (scratch that, boys!), and the everyday life of a broke college student lol. I missed her spirit so much and it was killing me that we really spent that much time apart after high school was over, but everything happens for a reason. I first met Jennifer in middle school, but we didn't become close until sophomore or junior year of high school! All I know is, she was one girl who was unforgettable, with her laugh, her smarts, and her charm.

Now, I will talk to you all about my other two friends, Sydney and Kami! Let me just start off by saying these two are ALWAYS a good time, and I mean that! They are literally my spirit animals and sometimes you can't do anything but just laugh at the simple fact that they have fun at doing the simple things. Sydney is so charismatic, and free thinking while Kami is all out wild and free spirited. I love being around them because they are so sweet, and loving towards one another, even in a joking way. I spent some time with them at Starbucks, catching up with their lives and school. Sydney goes to USI in Evansville, Indiana while Kami stays here in Indianapolis and goes to IUPUI. Although both of them had a rough semester, they managed to see the good in it all and have a positive mindset. I couldn't believe the things they had been up to! They pursued new and different things out of their element and managed to stay true to themselves. I met both of them through a mutual friend, and at first, they were a little reserved, but I could understand that because we didn't hang out as much outside of school. Most of the time, we would just have a little morning talk at my friend's locker, but we all ended up becoming close and started hanging out more. In the end, I ended up vibing more with them than my friend at the time. It was weird how things unfolded, but I'm happy because I realized that they cared more about me that others did during the time. I can't thank them enough for always bringing and rubbing their happiness onto me.

Lastly, this human being is the sun to my sun rays. She's just a big ball of energy and positivity! Melissa Pham is "corntastic"! She's one the greatest humans there is on this planet. I wish there was more people like her, so that way I wouldn't have to share her, lol. Melissa and I have always had similar interests. She's amazing and such a gifted and talented artist. So far being back home, I've hung out with Melissa at least three times, if not more and it's always a delight to be in her presences. We've gone to the IMA, the mall, gotten breakfast, coffee, cake, and so much more! During our reunion, we caught up in much more greater detail than we have on Snapchat and Instagram, and it was crazy! When I was in art school freshmen year of college, it was easier to go to Indiana University in Bloomington to go visit her, but now that I've left, it's a little difficult to stay connected, but we did it! She's been doing so much in school with her major, being president of her club, and other amazing things. I'm extremely proud of her and all that she's accomplishing while at school! Although she might doubt herself, I don't doubt her one second because I know she's determined and dedicated to all the things she puts her mind to. I met Melissa my freshmen year of high school in gym class and she was always so funny and interesting that I just had to know more about her and her family. She's always been the one to be and do different things! She's the one friend that can definitely get you out of your comfort zone, but in a good way, lol. With her kindness, her ability to always shed light in dark situations, I would probably be a completely different person without her spirit around me. I can't thank you enough for being you, unapologetically.
