The gang is back and ready to stir up trouble.. just kidding! The only thing we stir is our coffee at Caribou during those long days of being art student at Herron. I've missed my art school friends aka my friends SO much this semester. Art was a big part of my life, but they were an even bigger part of my life and experience at Herron. They would always give me advise on artwork, help me study for test, and joke around whenever we had those rough and long days! I miss those days. Walking in every morning at 8:30am, seeing their beautiful yet sleepy faces, dreading to go to our drawing class every Monday and Wednesday lol. We all would feed off each other and it was something I loved about them. They would always give me interesting things to look into and research, what new shows to watch, what great artists to see. They're the reason I lasted so long in art school because believe me I probably would've given up midway through the year. I have a special connection with each other of them and it's funny how it just works out.

My friend Dani, I met in high school actually! She was in my independent art study class my senior year and she's so talented with watercolor and drawing like I want to cry every time I see her work. She was super quiet at first, but then we realized we were going to the same school next year, so we became real good friends. I love how goofy she is, and her ability to skate circles around kids at the ice rink, which she did, lol. She's always been the one to want to see you do good no matter what it is and that's what I admire about her!

Katrina! She's always dressin' and keeps you guessin' as to what she's gonna do haha. Katrina is so carefree, gorgeous, and always knows how to get a smile out of you. You can always catch her saying something off the wall that's ridiculously funny. I love how passionate she is about things she cares for! When I met her, she had bright green hair, and had this aesthetic of a spooky, alien goth and it was hard to not what to get to know her. She was just super different for the rest of the students! At first I wasn't sure if I would connect with her, but we actually had so much in common as far as fashion and photography. What's funny is she would always have a saying for something like "those lil' boys" haha and she would say it all the time, which only made us laugh! Katrina is definitely the life of the party and I can't wait to see what she does next.

Sara! Sara is like the sweetest grandma (that's what we call her) in the world, lol. Whenever she talks you know it's going to be something interesting. She's a fantastic artist and I love her drawing style. It's out of this world I tell you! We love the same tv shows and always have the make sure things are right when it comes to drawing lol. I love how kind, giving and concerned she is about someone. If people were like Sara, the world would function better! I met Sara the same day I met Katrina actually. We had a tornado drill, so everyone had to sit in the hall and I remember sitting next to Dani and across from Sara and Katrina. We all started talking about art and tv shows and we instantly clicked. During the time I didn't have many friends because I was still a little shy and bit nervous to be at art school. With them, it was easy to feel loved and cared for. Herron was super competitive and to them, it wasn't about out beating the person next to you. For them, it was about being supportive and growing with them. It was the main reason I stuck by them. They just cared for you as a person! I sometimes think about if I had stayed how would things be, but I can't live in the past. I must live in the now, but they're the one thing in the past I'll always keep with me now and beyond.
